Which laboratory values are measured?

The premium hormone analysis provides you with a comprehensive overview of your hormone levels, prostate health, and other important markers such as LH, FSH, testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, prolactin, and PSA. LH (Luteinizing Hormone):LH is crucial for testosterone production in the testicles. An LH imbalance can lead to fertility and sexual function problems. The test can indicate possible causes of a reduced sperm count or low testosterone levels.

Free testosterone (calculated)This value indicates the amount of unbound testosterone that is directly active in the body. Free testosterone is crucial for many bodily functions and provides information about the actual availability of testosterone to the cells. The value is calculated based on the total testosterone and SHBG levels.

Estradiol:Estradiol is an important hormone from the estrogen group that also plays a role in men. It is produced in small amounts from testosterone and is crucial for bone health, the regulation of fat metabolism, and overall hormonal balance. Estradiol levels that are too high or too low can lead to symptoms such as decreased libido, weight gain, or mood swings.

Prolactin:Prolactin is a hormone primarily known for milk production in women, but it also plays a role in men. Elevated prolactin levels can suppress testosterone and lead to symptoms such as decreased libido, fatigue, and infertility. This test helps identify potential pituitary gland disorders or other hormonal imbalances.

PSA (Prostate-specific antigen):The PSA level is a specific marker for prostate health and helps to detect potential prostate diseases early. An elevated or low level can indicate various conditions, including inflammation, benign enlargement, or, in rare cases, prostate cancer. Your optional doctor's consultation

After receiving your lab results, you have the option to book a 30-minute video consultation with one of our independent German partner doctors to discuss your lab results and treatment options (e.g., testosterone replacement therapy). The consultation costs approximately €90-100.

Follow-up consultations with doctors lasting 15 minutes during the course of therapy cost approximately €60-70 (usually necessary every three months).

With the test kit, you take a blood sample at home, which is then analyzed in a partner laboratory. The following values are determined: LH, FSH, testosterone and free testosterone (calculated), SHBG, estradiol, and prolactin. The PSA level, a marker for your prostate health, is also included.

You will receive the results digitally in a clear and concise format. Optionally, you can discuss them in a paid consultation with one of our independent partner physicians . There, you can individually determine whether your test results are related to symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, hair loss, or fatigue, and what further steps (e.g., TRT) might be advisable.

Using a lancet, you can easily obtain a few drops of blood (capillary blood) at home. A quick, virtually painless prick of the fingertip is all it takes. Detailed instructions are included with your test kit.

Shipping of the blood sample

Register your blood sample online using the link we send you by email. Then send it to the laboratory for analysis using the prepaid envelope provided.

Medical video consultation (optional and subject to a fee)
